Editorial policy
“Budownictwo i Architektura” (Civil Engineering and Architecture) is an open access journal published four times a year: in January, April, June and October in print and electronically. Articles are assigned a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier) whereby it becomes possible to search and cite them without delay. The journal is focused on such themes as:
- Structural engineering
- Structural mechanics
- Mechanics of composite materials
- Road and bridges design, construction and maintenance
- Geotechnics
- Construction materials manufacturing methods
- Construction economics and management
- Maintenance and restoration of built heritage
- Architecture and history of architecture
- City planning and history of city planning
- Social and economic aspects of architecture
- Sustainable development in architecture and construction
- Urban renewal
- Real estate appraisal and management
The manuscripts submitted for consideration should contain previously unpublished material. The manuscripts are accepted in Polish, English and both of these languages (e.g. Polish manuscript and its translation to English).
The submitted manuscripts are peer reviewed by two experts of the relevant field. The authors are provided with feedback. After the peer review the editorial board assesses the paper’s suitability for publication in the journal and informs the authors about the decision. Author is obligated to fill form about manuscript metadata.
After the article has been accepted for publication it goes to the production editor. The production editor makes any necessary corrections and sends the proof to the author for approval. Publishing does not require any charges.
The authors are asked to sign License to Publish governed by the Creative Commons Attribution license in which the author warrants that the article is original, written by stated author/s, has not been published before, contains no unlawful statements, does not infringe the rights of others, is subject to copyright that is vested exclusively in the author and free of any third party rights, and that any necessary written permissions to quote from other sources have been obtained by the author/s. All articles published in the journal are archived in the repositories, such as: Lublin University of Technology Library, BazTech, PBN/POL-on. The print version of the journal is published by Lublin University of Technology Library.
